Spock: Under no circumstances can he be made aware of my existence. You must promise me this.

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Kirk: You're telling me i can't tell you I'm following your own orders? Why not? What happens?

 

[F. King Daniel]

Spock Prime: Jim, this is one rule you cannot break. To stop Nero, you alone must take command of your ship.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: How? Over your dead body?

 

[Rush Limborg]

Spock Prime: ...Preferably not--

However, there is Starfleet regulation 619.

(Kirk stiffens)

619 states...that "Any command officer who is emotionally compromied by the mission at hand...must resign said command."

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: So you're saying I have to emotionally compromise you... guys?

 

[Rush Limborg]

Spock Prime: (voice chokes up) Jim--I have just lost my planet.

I can tell you...I am emotionally compromised. What you must do--is get me to show it.

 

[LeadHead]

Scotty: All right. Live or die. Lets get this over with.

Keenser stands on transporter pad with Scotty, who tries to shoo him away.

Scotty: Yo cannae come with me. Go on.

 

[F. King Daniel]

Kirk (to Spock Prime): Coming back in time, changing history? It's cheating.

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: A trick I learned from an old friend.

Spock powers up the transporter then turns back to Kirk with the traditional Vulcan Salute

Spock: Live Long and Prosper.

Kirk and Scotty beam out, Keenser seems sad that they're gone.

 

[F. King Daniel]

(The Enterprise swooshes through warp-space...)

(Kirk materializes somewhere in the gigantic engineering complex)

Kirk: Mister Scott!

 

[LeadHead]

A pounding sound is heard from the tank behind Kirk

Kirk: Mister Scott, can you hear me?

Scotty is pushed out of the tank and into the water pipes. Kirk tries to keep up with him.

Kirk: Uh.....Uh...... Hold on a second! Oh, no. Don't worry! Oh...no...

Scotty travels upward to pipes a level above, Kirk throws his winter coat away, hoping to make up time. Kirk tracks Scotty's destination and sees a huge Turbine

 

[F. King Daniel]

Kirk runs over to a console beneath the turbine and opens the emergency release valve.

Computer: Turbine release valve...activated.

Splash! Scotty and a load of water fall ten-feet to the floor.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: You all right? You all right?!

 

[Yeoman Randi]

Scotty: My head's buzzin' and i'm soaked. But otherwise I'm fine!

 

[F. King Daniel]

(Up on the bridge...)

Chekov: Captain Spock! Captain Spock! Computer indicates unauthorized access to water turbine control board.

 

[LeadHead]

Spock: Bring up the video.

Screen shows Kirk and Scotty in running off from Scotty's Splashdown site

Spock: Security, seal the Engineering deck. We have intruders in Turbine Section 3. Set Phasers to stun.

 

[F. King Daniel]

(Kirk and Scotty are on the run through the maze of catwalks above engineering, but are quickly surrounded by redshirts)

Cupcake: Come with me... cupcake!

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk and Scotty are brought to the bridge by Cupcake and other security officers.

Spock: (to Scotty) Who are you?
