Star Trek '09 will be on FX in the States

On Feb. 14th the FX channel (in the States) will be running the reboot film.

The air time is 7-10pm Eastern.

Don't know if they'll be running additional showings, or what the time will be on the West Coast.

Had the Blu-ray since November '09 I think. I'll pass on the commercial filled version, Budweiser and Nokia excluded.

I think FX bought the television rights as far back as '09.

Now that I think about it, has anyone noticed that the broadcast networks no longer show movies? It's pretty much consigned to just cable networks and local digital channels.

Was it ever played on any of the pay channels like HBO or whatnot?

If it did, that thing slipped under my "radar" without so much as a metaphorical "blip"!

Sincerely,

Bill

It's been exclusively on the EPIX channel over the past two years.

EPIX? Don't have that one on Direct TV, not my particular package plan, anyway. Never even read about it until 45+ seconds before composing this reply. ;)

Follow-up...

Ah, I learned that EPIX is exclusive to Dish Network. That explains it.

Sincerely,

Bill

Yeah, EPIX has only been around for a few years. It's Paramount's co-venture into the premium cable market.
