Am I detecting custom figures? It always annoyed me that a lot of the crew were never released in regular duty uniforms (and yet, ironically, Kirk is despite not appearing in one until the very final scene of the whole movie! )

The males were resolved by headswaps, but it didn't help for Uhura.

Correct - I've made up pretty much every male character/ body combo to add to the crew! I think Nero's head on a Spock body works well as a proxy for the bald science officer from Into Darkness.

I also made a Keenser figure (using the Kre-o head and an Ugnaught Star Wars figure) and two alien crew (one using a C'ai Threnalli Star Wars fig - glued the gloves and head on to a Kirk figure, which looks pretty effective, the other using a closed Demogogon head from the Stranger Things 3.5 inch line, again on a Kirk body). I also removed the ponytail from an Uhura figure to give a shorter haired female officer figure - I've added her to the transporter room control area (not pictured as I only did it yesterday!)

Few shots of my alien customs - Keenser turned out perfectly, and I really like the C'ai Threnalli figure (in my head it's the Kelvin timeline's Arex). The Demogorgon figure looks a bit like a crewmember got facehugged, but it adds a bit of diversity anyway!
