Nothing in The Wrath of Khan has anything to do with the Prime Directive.
And the episode refers to the Earth fruit known as an apple, which Kirk was eating in TWOK and ST09.

Horse shit. Both Trek XI and STIS are TWOK lovefests. Trek XI is practically masturbating to TWOK, while STID is full on sexual intercourse with TWOK.
There's noting related to the Prime Directive in TWOK or Trek XI, it isn't even mentioned in either movie.

I'm not a big fan of the way ST09 utilized/handled the test. Spock is wrong. It has nothing to do with experiencing fear. That, to me, felt so shoe horned. The Maru was a test of character. You're not going to feel fear. Put cadets through what Wesley went through. An ambush test with what seems like a real event taking place. That'll scare the crap right out of a cadet. Sticking them in a simulator is not going to scare them.
KM is merely a means for the teachers at the Academy, and for Starfleet, to see what kind of a commander you might be. I don't even think there is a 'wrong' to the test anymore than there is a way to win. You're there just so the brass can see what kind of a person you are.

I beg to differ. The seeds of that development are already present in ST XI.
I was under the impression that the "hearing" revealed that Kirk wanted his cheating to be well known, to show that he felt the entire test was a cheat, and therefore no harm was done by modifying it so that he could pass.
I am under the impression that the initial test was some kind of a joke, maybe a bet between writers.
