ST: Vanguard in 2011?

I finished Harbinger earlier this week and this was my first real exposure to this series. Sufficient to say, I am looking forward to read more of this in the future. I am also one of those people that rather like prequels, so hearing that there will be stories that take place before Harbinger makes me happy. :)
There is already one Vanguard prequel: Distant Early Warning by the Wardimore duo. It's part the SCE miniseries What's Past, and it follows the crew of the series' 23rd Century SCE ship, the USS Lovell, while they help solve some issues during the building of Vanguard station. It's not 100% necessary to be able to follow the rest of the series (I haven't read it yet, and I've been able to follow the rest of the books fine), but it's story does play a role in the ongoing arc.

Just hurry though, I'd hate to miss out on ZSG when my self control breaks down and i start ordering...
It is done! Copies of Zero Sum Game are now available for purchase with free autographs through my website's online store.

thank you! an email should arrive shortly. shipping to europe isnt a problem right?
International orders cannot be processed through my online store. You'll have to e-mail me for shipping cost estimates, which will vary based on your order.

amazon.co.uk and amazon.de now have a summary (the back cover blurb?) for Declassified

Amazon.com on the other hand has this extensive summary:

ETA: Since both of those have been revealed as being inaccurate I've edited the texts out of this post. I've left the links for those curious what the false descriptions look like.

amazon.co.uk and amazon.de now have a summary (the back cover blurb?) for Declassified:
"Secret operations, sealed orders, high-risk military special operations ...such dangerous missions have been at the core of the Star Trek Vanguard series since its inception. Four great Alpha Quadrant superpowers-the Federation, the Klingon Empire, the Tholian Assembly, and the Romulan Star Empire-have all taken tremendous risks in their race to learn and control the ancient technologies of the ancient interstellar hegemons known as the Shedai. Now get ready for four new adventures in the Taurus Reach with the starship crews, undercover agents, civilian colonists, and alien power players of the Vanguard saga. Go back into prehistory and see the reign of the Shedai as it really was; follow journalist Tim Pennington as he investigates the most bizzarre story of his career; see how the Cold War of the original Star Trek era plays out between two groups of colonists-one from the Federation, the other from the Klingon Empire-both facing a natural disaster neither is prepared to survive on its own; or get a glimpse of the lighter side of life aboard Starbase 47..."
Ok, even if this is only 1/2 correct, it sounds awsome!

Yes, it really does sound like they're trying to tell some interesting stories with this one. None of those four tales sound "standard" or pedestrian, they sound like they're playing around with the possibilities inherent in the Vanguard setting. Expanding it away from the core story in interesting ways.

Sadly, none of the stories described in that blurb bear any relation to the actual content of the book. That was text from an early sales document, before the stories were actually plotted.

Damn. But, I'm confident that you guys will give us something just as good, if not better.

I'm overjoyed to hear there's more Vanguard on the way for 2011.

I just picked up the entire series a few weeks ago and am already on Book Four Open Secrets. I'm enjoying the hell out of the series, and love the premise of using original characters in the TOS setting.

A big "thank you" to David Mack, Dayton Ward & Kevin Dilmore. The Vanguard series is some of the best TOS books out there, IMHO.
