People always die. But Q ain't people.Sometimes people die.
It's hard to fathom Picard being so thoroughly incurious that he doesn't want to dig even just a little into how an immortal being dies if they don't want to.
People always die. But Q ain't people.Sometimes people die.
I always tend to look at the big picture of Star Trek, so my thoughts immediately went back to this being a consequence of Quinn's assisted suicide in Death Wish. Mortality had been introduced to the Continuum, and there was no coming back from that. However, if that had been the writers intent, and it may have been because these people do watch Star Trek, they should have spelled it out a little more clearly in the script. It didn't really bother me that Q came back. It bothered me that the reason for his death was never dealt with at all. It just felt like one more thing that was floated in the writer's room that no one could be bothered exploring or explaining.
