Edit: Still don't know what baffles me more - a 150m$ flick going for a 1970s home electronics look that looks even less futuristic than TOS (not as clean and elegant)
And I look at and go, "Ok I can see that arising out of the tech we now have..." which I think serves the movie not to mention those being targeted far better.
Give me form-fitting spandex any day, it is so much more sexy!
No thanks the spandex look is so... meh.

Who woulda guessed carbon fiber accent panels would make it to the 23rd century?
Well, I just found them on the internet.NCC-1701 is my new hero. Thanks!
Although, if I were your attorney, I would advise you to remove the photos from this thread before Trek BBS gets a "phone call" similar to the one AICN got.

Oh I want my trek future to be PERFECT!!! ... Dirty and stepped on, but perfect ... and realistic ... and a throwback to the old series ... but not the vivid color palette ... so keep the same color palette ... and you know that sound the doors make? And I know how many paces it is from the turbolift doors to the captain's chair, so don't screw me over on that!Who woulda guessed carbon fiber accent panels would make it to the 23rd century?
Who would have guessed that plastic shipping palettes would be one of the main construction materials throughout the Galaxy in the 24th?![]()
They're not going to please everyone.
This looks like the 23rd century equivalent of a local bus that's been in service for decades. Good.![]()

I dunno - I liked "Aliens" a lot, and evidently so did lots of people. Fewer folks liked "Firefly," but I sure did. And then there's the new "Battlestar Galactica..."
