One of the things I think about when it comes to remembering 9/11/2001 was how Sports served as a diversion for Americans at that time. The one thing that comes to mind the most was Baseball, how they came back a week later, the emotions the players and the fans all felt, the epic World Series that still continues to be one of my favorite world series ever. About a year ago, I watched the beautiful documentary "Nine Innings from Gound Zero" (Which is on MLB Network and HBO this weekend) which is a recollection of the events in the Baseball world, but the thing I remember that time for when it came to Baseball was this, Jack Buck in St. Louis reading a poem that Monday after the Attacks. I wanted to post it here, and ask, to all of you, how did Sports help or hinder you during this time of strife.
