SPOILERS : List of the TOS references in the new movie

One of the most used button sound FX was clearly from the original Trek.

The shuttle that Kirk and McCoy get on to board the Enterprise is named "Gillian"

Wow there were so many - I thought they were nice touches for people like me who will freeze frame the DVD looking for any hint of TOS, but they wouldn't have gotten in the way of the film at all for a newcomer. Very clever.

Best one? Kirk's Kobayashi Maru scene!

There is also a shuttle named 'Moore' - as in Ron?

And nobody has commented that the entire 'look' of Vulcan seems to be based on Vasquez Rocks!

I'm still trying to decide if the ID code 'M-311' which was printed on one of the pipes (and was prominent in one scene - I think it was in the transporter room) was a reference to Planet M-113 in The Man Trap, or just a serendipitous coincidence...

McCoy says something to an offscreen Nurse Chapel during the attack.

And Majel provided the voice! (Chapel says something like "Yes, sir") :)

(Majel was also the computer voice when Chekov was giving his authorization code, but NOT the voice of the Kelvin or the Jellyfish)

Same here.

Oh yeah, to add to the list: Pike breaking up the fight with his "bo'sun's whistle."

Pike can really whistle.

I forgot about that! I bet it was a purposeful reference.

Wow, I didn't realize that was her. How bittersweet.

While "passing" the kobiyashi maru test, he was happily munching on an apple.

Still not getting it. How was it a "TOS" reference? What's it in reference to? Other than the obvious episode title.

^ In TWOK Kirk is eating an apple when he tells Carol, Saavik and the rest of them how he beat the test while at the academy.

McCoy's "green-blooded hobgoblin" line as well - though Urban pronounces it hobGOBlin where Kelley pronounced it HOBgoblin. ;)

I'm sorry but that's already been said by some adorable poster in post #3.

Surely you can think of another....an astute man like yourself. ;)

I thought that at first, but wasn't it "Gilliam" - for Terry Gilliam?

Movie reference: Nero's bug creature resembled a Ceti eel, and acted similarly on humans (ST II).

Spock gives Scotty a formula (for transwarp beaming) from the future. Scotty once gave one for transparent aluminum (ST IV).

Transwarp drive dates back to ST III.
