Spoiler: Star Trek Storyline Revealed (Canon Safe).

TeamTrek

Cadet
Newbie
As life long Star Trek fans it is not our intention to render Star Trek canon moot. In fact, it is our intention to preserve its 40+ year history, including its 5 television series and 10 feature films and, hopefully, Gene Roddenberry's vision. We believe it is only fitting to reveal the movie's basic story line to the fans directly.

Star Trek is an origin story; It recounts the events which leads to James T. Kirk earning the command of Captain of the USS Enterprise, the crews first mission, and why this crew, with its young Captain and Human/Vulcan first officer, were chosen for the first 5 year, deep space mission.

Star Trek, as well as its subsequent sequels, will take place after the events of the original pilot and preceding the 1966-1969 CBS television series, rendering Star Trek canon safe from any reworking.

This movie will fill the gaps in Star Trek lore which have never before been told on screen.

Live long and prosper,
TeamTrek

Well, thanks...

Whoever you are.

More importantly, what can you tell us about those rotating nacelles?

And will Spock have a forked penis?

 I knew one day Rick Berman would invade the bbs with his hate filled speeches, full of lies and deceit.

Wasn't Team Trek the name of the person who dropped a bunch of Enterprise "spoilers" on this board prior to Broken bow's premiere?

Well, he(?) only has one post so far, so I'm guessing he doesn't spend a lot of time in the Miscellaneous forum.

Not buying that this post is by anyone with any insider knowledge of anything.

^Indeed. He/she revealed so much that in no way, shape, or form resembled fan speculation from the past three months. In no manner could a newbie poseur manufacture such detailed information simply to fool us. I feel so honored that Abrams' production team should register an account to break this news here, of all places.

TeamTrek, I love you.

STAR TREK was an NBC television series.

Sounds good! Make sure not to let Shatner anywhere near the set, kay?

Oh and you botched the Scotty and McCoy casting bigtime. But you'll figure that out sooner or later... ;)

A mistake so stunningly obvious could only be intentional. Therefore, TeamTrek is the real deal!

At least we've found out the movie is canon safe.

That's good. I wouldn't want my shirts' colors to fade with each washing.

According to its IMDB plot summary, which I read less than five minutes ago, it's yet another time travel story (groan) directly ripped off from The Termintor: Romulans go back in time to kill Kirk's parents to prevent him from being born and Spock must stop them.

I really hope I'm wrong about this, but that plotline tells me this movie will be the most spectacular failure in the franchise. B&B killed it, this movie will cremate it.

I have no faith in this creative team to make of this anything worth seeing. We won't get a Trek story, just more Trek product.

Que sera, muthahfuckahs!

Yeah, and accordin' to the IMDB, Leonard Nimoy was goin' to be in Star Trek: Nemesis, as well as every actor & actress who had played a Romulan on TNG, DS9 and VOY.

They never get that sort of stuff right before a movie is released.
