We know they're doing the Franklin and the Enterprise (-A?), I'd assume the third would be one of the Swarm ships.
Strangely that would actually make sense. Much like the Captain's Yachts, I seem to recall that all of the TNG era and later hero ships in theory had that ability designed in, except Defiant. They just never made any use of it, and never created models and effects to support it. But the D, E and Voyager all had the ability on paper to jettison or swap around bridges ala Galaxy Quest. So who knows, maybe the nuTrek crew picked up the idea out of the old design notes and ran with it.I think at "feathering" are really clamps.
The bridge can eject.

Interesting cut-aways. Enterprise secondary hull nearly all Engineering and Shuttle Bay.Some minor spoilers have been revealed for the backstory of the USS Franklin...
According to Popular Mechanics, the USS Franklin is "an early prototype ship that was the first to reach warp 4" - so an immediate predecessor to the warp five Enterprise NX-01.
I love the Franklin design and that it shares similarities to our good ol' NX-01. I'm looking forward to see her in action in Beyond. But at the same time I somehow would have preferred if they'd have made her a successor to Archer's ship instead of her predecessor. It somehow belittle's the NX-01's significance as the first of its kind. But I remain open-minded and will wait how this particular fact plays out in the actual movie.According to Popular Mechanics, the USS Franklin is "an early prototype ship that was the first to reach warp 4" - so an immediate predecessor to the warp five Enterprise NX-01.
