Spock's Son

Hello,
A while back I read a book, I do not remember the title. In the book, Spock's son was talking with Cpt. Kirk. Spock's son was upset. He thought that Spock was calling him a bastard. Kirk talked to Spock and found out the the Terran used the word "Bastard" and it brought shame on the child, which is unfair. Spock used the Vuclan word, but it puts shame on the parents. What was the word? I used some Vulcan dictionary and they said Kre'nath, but the definition puts shame on the child.
Thanks in advance.

The book is Yesterday's Son by Ann Crispin. And whatever Vulcan dictionary you found was incorrect. The word "krenath" is used to describe illegitimate children who were wronged by the mistakes of their elders. It's the parents, not the children, who are stigmatized.

Geoff just told you. "Krenath" was the word used in the book. As he said, the "dictionary" you found got its definition wrong (as well as its spelling, apparently).
