Totally fair.

Depends on what you want from art. If it's engaging characters than TNG fails for me.Artistically TNG is the best star trek when TNG was at its best the produced masterpiece episodes that can rival any thing from top HBO shows or even better.
Watching Clone Wars recently and there is a maturity and savagery that Trek liked to avoid.I like both star trek and star wars and when I take the trek is better than star wars side that even the star wars fans have no come back I talk about how star wars feels childish compared to star trek because it is.
He's a young man exploring relationships. It aren't that hard.the best mental gymnastics to explain how spock has entangled himself with in a mess with other female characters, who will never go near in tos is okay.
FTFYArtisticallyTNGTOS is the best star trek
Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock.
There is no comparison.

In this case, I'll admit five times something is certainly one something.^ Two posts worthy of the ultimate award for truth: The 5-Kirk Rating.

YES TNG is on the same level as this shows in terms of the very best of science fiction TV. from the top of my head some of the best sci fi tv stories ever came from TNGOh, hard disagree there. TNG is far from a masterpiece. I'm fine with TNG but I think its rather insulting to put it on the same level as shows like The Sopranos, Oz, Band of Brothers and Succession.
Nearly 90 years of time separate him in his life. He would not be the same man. 20 year old men would not recognize 40 year old me.Since as this is a spock thread. Unification 1 and 2 from TNG are also top tier episodes. it is very hard to see Peck Spock as the Spock from unification, in fact I would say Quinto Spock would have executed the role better in TNG.
probably however, I think the writing style is what is separating the two series with their Spock characterization.Nearly 90 years of time separate him in his life. He would not be the same man. 20 year old men would not recognize 40 year old me.
....what, pray tell, is that supposed to mean??I must disclose I am a person of colour and Yes, I will be the first to admit I will never have added michael to the house of sarek story, but this is not the worst thing that has been done to Spock's back story. I mean Michael can not be spock sister? how dare this black woman have so much influence on the house of sarek to the point that sarek seem to favour her more than spock.
SNW: A modern day feminist apology tour to how presumably bad TOS was in handling women and one of their collateral damage is Spoc himself.
okay, but I do know what I have been watching though.Nothing you've posted there is true. None of it is near to being true.
Generally, your posts show very little evidence of your having watched the show with any fair degree of attention. Nor do they display any real familiarity with science fiction as a genre.
Age will do that.probably however, I think the writing style is what is separating the two series with their Spock characterization.
That's not a good character. Spock grew in to his humanity.even for a guy like Spock, who is meant to be superior to humans

Measure of a man
all good things
cause and effect
yesterday enterprise
best of both worlds
inner light
lower decks
elementary my dear data
to name a few, this are some of the best sci fiction episodes of all time, the same way we would say the superanos had some of the best mafia episodes all all time and succession has the best family drama episodes. I have not seen OZ.
sopranos and succession are the top of their genres and so is game of thrones. TNG is a top tier in the sci fi genre. that was my equivalent.
Plus bonus Adam Nimoy in the blooper reel?Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock.
There is no comparison.
But for the sake of discussion my ranking from best to most average would be:
Leonard Nimoy > Ethan Peck > Zachary Quinto > Liam Hughes > Todd Haberkorn > Jeffrey Quinn > Ben Tolpin > Brandon Stacy > Jacob Kogan > Billy Simpson > Joe W. Davis > Stephen Manley > Vadia Potenza > Carl Steven
Sorry if I missed anyone off the list, I'm only human.
