IMO, this is a real possibility for Trek 11. This would actually be a good time to give Spock his truly final farewell.

I know you're just going for the shock value of the thread title, but I think I could actually accept the death of Nimoy's Spock at the end of this film... especially if he somehow changes the timeline in the process so that same death does not become certain for Quinto's Spock.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Spock dies in Trek 11.

Maybe he'll give Quinto his katra as he does so. Maybe that's the screwy mind-meld sequence that Lindelof has alluded to.

Hah hah spam thread, but yknow what, I'd actually like Spock to die at the end of this movie, I think it would be a nice way to close out his story and I'd hate for Nimoy to be deprived of playing Spock's "big death scene" (fer real this time) because after all, this is the last time he's going to play Spock.
