Spike runs one episode out of sequence, why?

Does anyone know why Spike runs one episode out of sequence after Endgame every time they run the series completely through? I forget the episode last year but this year it was Renaissance Man which aired after Endgame.

It's not that it's a big deal or anything just odd.

I'm guessing it's to aquire a two hour block to run Endgame without ruining the networks other scheduling.

However, I wouldn't mind if the station ran a little less CSI.

Spike won''t air Trek two parters on separate days. They adjust the schedule accordingly.

Agree on the CSI thing. Way too much.

^ Actually that isn't entirely correct. They do it to DS9 all the time (even when it aired two episodes daily).

It is for TNG and VOY. I can't recall their two parters during their normal time slots being aired on separate days, ever.

DS9 is a little different in that it had long recurring arcs that stretched for more then two episodes, fairly regularly. TPTB at Spike probably figure airing DS9's to be continued episodes back to back really doesn't matter.

I am the first person to say that voyager continuity doesn't need to exist %99 of the time, that if you don't notice the actors getting older, that almost any episodes could air in any order and it wouldn't make any difference... But this? Wow. This is even moving beyond my sense of doomy apathy. Thinking that the reset button would glaze over the fact that Voyager got home and wouldn't disjoin the overall story at all... That's just taking the joke a step too far.

I understand why they do it...but it really does seem silly since Endgame makes the whole thing moot. Really, with something like Endgame, better to air part one with the previous episode...and part two with Caretaker.

I would guess the answer would be: If you haven't seen all of Voyager by now, what are you waiting for? ;)
