I don't understand their need to reboot anything either. Just have it take place a few years after Spider-Man 3 or something.
I suspect they'll stick with the numbers while Tobey Maguire is in the role and then switch to a different title scheme when they bring in a new lead actor.Also, can we stop calling these films Spider-Man (Insert Number Here)? It's just so uninventive and boring. I think the next film should be called what Spider-Man 2 was going to be called: The Amazing Spider-Man.

I wonder what correlation there is between the people who think rebooting the movie series is a good idea and people who hated Brand New Day.
