Saw the movie yesterday and I like It very much, best of Holland's Spiderman movies.
And everything with Maguire and Garfield was great (I really dislike the AMS movies and Garfield as Spiderman) but he was really good in this movie, especially when he saved MJ.
The same with Molina and Defoe, they stole EVERY scene.

I would love to see Maguire in his own Spiderman movie again, to see an older more matured Spiderman maybe with a family.
That is something I have never seen.

Instead of Sandman I would have preferred Venom from Spiderman 3, I think the end battle would be better with a faster moving enemy and Sandman wasn't really dangerous.

Having two different versions of Venom running around would have been counter-productive. Same for the various versions of Gobby from those two franchises. Best to cherry pick. And besides; SM3 Venom was even more of a non-entity than Sandman.

Maybe you are right but I think the fight could have been better with Venom.
I never liked the fight scènes with Sandman, not in SM3 and not in this movie, I think Venom is more interesting then Sandman. But it don't matter much, I am very happy with the three Spiderman's in the movie

I think it would have been more interesting with Dane DeHaan and Defoe. Seeing Defoe’s goblin be proud of an Alt-Harry would be a very interesting kind of sick.

Cinematic Sandman has suffered from being so potentially powerful that the film makers get really self conscious about leaning into it.

Some random thoughts…

Now that Andrew’s Peter has (sort of) overcome his trauma of losing Gwen and is back in his home universe.
He might just be ready to move on with his live and potentially meet someone new, maybe a certain MJ?
But would he remember his NWH Advent up and already know that they are kind of destined to be together.
Would he pursue her because of that “foreknowledge” or would that completely mess him up again?

Also, since Tom’s Peter decided to not tell his MJ what she forgot (a little bit of a similar conundrum), he might spend at least a movie on his own.
Would that be the perfect time to introduce his Felicia Hardy as the female lead?

Given his willingness to continue and how much money the latest installment made, it seems like a sure bet that he'll keep going.

The question is, who will be the director moving forward? Jon Watts is developing the Fantastic Four.

Last i heard he said he's unsure if he wants to continue. I don't believe money is an issue, for a 20 something he's already made around 20 million dollars, which is not bad at all. It remains to be seen if his family plans will mean he'll take it a bit lighter on his schedule. No Way Home would be a perfect sendoff for his Spiderman if he called it quits but could also be a good starting point for a new trilogy ( though i find it hard to imagine his movies without Zendaya and Jacob).

If not Marvel could simply drop the bomb and start with Miles Morales, maybe with a mentor cameo by Holland - with the right actor Morales could also work quite well.

I don't believe Sony writers could pull off a good Garfield Spiderman movie, the evidence is clear. One movie would most likely also not be enough to properly introduce his MJ and make the romance believable in the timeframe of just one movie.

If they actually do a complete MCU Spiderman reboot it could well be but it would be hard to replicate the chemistry Holland has with Zendaya.

They just need to hire some of the writers from the MCU Spider-Man trilogy who might be able to come up with something compelling and at least semi-logical, hopefully without too much studio interference.

What I don't understand is why at the end, when Holland Spiderman wanted to kill Osborn.
Tobey Spiderman and Andrew Spiderman nodded at each other and Tobey Spiderman jumped to stop Holland Spiderman, why didn't they jumped both to stop Holland Spiderman and cure Osborn at the same time?

I did kinda wonder about that nod too. Was it a "let him beat the crap out of the Goblin first before we do anything" nod?

So finally got to see this today.

One thing I'm still wondering.....

When
Strange pushed Peter out of his body and into an astral projection, Peter was able to still move his body and even get himself back into his body. Did I miss where it was explained how?

I just assumed it was a perk of his enhanced senses and the Peter Tingle.
