The question is what is the next thing?
Well, we've been having a lot of superheroes, zombies, and vampires in the last few years. I think it's time to get back to movies about space...or possibly dinosaurs.
The question is what is the next thing?
I am finding it harder and harder to get excited about superhero movies. I've been disappointed far more often than I've been impressed.
I've got to agree with that. The novelty of seeing those drawings "brought to life" and the really limited storytelling of the well-known superhero books replicated in movie scripts has really worn off...
I'd agree if I thought "First Class" was a well done superhero movie.I am finding it harder and harder to get excited about superhero movies. I've been disappointed far more often than I've been impressed.

I disagree to a certain extent. I think films like "First Class" and "Captain America" show that there's always room for a well done superhero movie. The problem is going to the well too often and, in some cases (including this Spiderman movie), rebooting the same characters over and over.
^A lot of that stuff.
Generally, though, I just didn't like the story or most of the characters. It nearly put me to sleep in the theater.
Well, the points raised regarding First Class are interesting, but I can't say that for myself they're especially persuasive.
...the next Spidey movie. I'm not interested, so I probably won't see it (unless the reviews are outstanding)...
Well at least Uncle Ben shouldn't be in this one. We've seen that whole thing before.
