Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

After seeing him as the evil businessman in "Kings" I always thought Baker would be good as Roderick Kingsley/Hobgoblin.

The design is... interesting.
It had already appeared we wouldn't get his traditional lab coat but no pants!! Lizard is going to look like baby Godzilla walking around. They couldn't have given him some wardrobe that in some way resembled the comic. Really?

It still looks like the Ditko rendition to me. Again I think fans have been anticipating the Todd McFarland/Torment version for so long that they've forgotten that Lizzie was pretty basic when he first appeared and went through several "mutations". I've no problem with the way he looks. I too was expecting the more modern look of him. Also we've STILL not seen what he actually looks like in the movie very clearly so I'm not going to be that judgemental yet. Captain Craig...why does Lizard need a labcoat in the first place? Yes it is an iconic image of the character but it isn't the be all and end all of him. The interesting thing that has come out of all the images so far is that he has three fingers on the right hand, and a thumb. I suppose the movie will explain this.

I'm pretty sure I remember him wearing a labcoat in one scene. The toy doesn't really impress me, looks much better on screen.

Here's a nice image of the cover of the Lizard's first issue: http://www.samruby.com/AmazingSpider-ManA/Large/AmazingSpider-Man006.jpg. Looks fairly similar.
That's better than him not wearing anything. He also had rudimentary human aspects which is why he wore coats and pants. It wasn't till much later(as the good Admiral would remind us ;)) with additional mutations his mind would slip away.

pfft...what a rip-off of Killer Croc.
:shifty:
Except, well it would be the other way around.
Lizard, created in 1963.
Killer Croc, created in 1983.

The idea that the Lizard design is somehow okay because that's how he appeared in his first appearance in preposterous. Maybe we should have a Superman movie in which he can't fly?

I don't mind it. It's not the greatest supervillain/monster design I've seen, but it's not horrible IMO. But then again, I'm not that attached to the comics design, so that probably helps.
