Spider-Man movie (casting, rumors, pix till release)

Amazing Spider-Man

Peter Parker: Spider-Man

Spectacular Spider-Man

Web of Spider-Man

Just use the names of the titles...well, except for "Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man Unlimited".
It's why I included Sensational Spiderman. I think that works better if they are just going to use the one word adjective titles that preclude the word Spiderman itself.

Amazing Spiderman
Spectacular Spiderman
Sensational Spiderman

Of course now that I look at it it sets up the saga to be one of ASS.

I like this one, especially because it shows the webs are black instead of just etched into the suit. I don't know why some of the lines aren't crossed, though.

It also gives a better idea of how the design of the arm stripes work with the gloves. It's not a bad design idea, I guess. I supposed they're making some cosmetic changes just to drive home the idea that it's a different continuity.

I've been on the fence about this movie, but now I think I like it. I still wish they would have gone with a fourth one, but oh well. I like the web slingers and if you look at the finger tips it looks like some grips for wall crawling.

Irrfa Khan "Slumdog Millionaire" is playing one of the villains but not sure who. It was previously reported he was he Proto-Goblin. That seems to be false.

He's playing Nels Van Adder; that's been confirmed for months. He just won't be becoming the Proto-Goblin.

There's a lot of Ben Reilly-Spidey influence in the suit design, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm waiting to see it in motion before passing judgment, though. Both of the Nolan Batsuits looked pretty goofy in photos, but worked great on film.

EW has the following rather unexpected quote from Avi Arad:

"Exec producer Avi Arad says the film won't erase what came before but will try to weave a narrative that could take place within the framework of the earlier films. 'It's not a comeback,' he says. 'You have to look at it this way: Do you want to know more about Spider-Man? This movie is going to tell stories that you didn’t see in movies 1, 2, and 3."

I think that quote is just going to misrepresent the film to most fans. Avi needs to go away and shut up. Everyone knows this is a clean reboot.

What does Avi think he is accomplishing with that statement?

It's a reboot we all know it but some media outlet who doesn't know better could spin that into confusion for Joe Moviegoer. Hopefully anyone reading that in EW just skimmed past it.

Not to mention that it's completely untrue, if Spidey's sporting mechanical web shooters.

Basically, it just means they're not going to show his origin.

To me that quote sounds like he's still trying to promote Rami's Spider-Man films by saying that the reboot can fit loosely within them. Nonsense.
