Spider-Man idea

Toon Disney/Jetix has been rerunning the final eps of the 90's Spider-Man, now ten years gone. I only recently found out that the hopeful but somewhat frustrating finale was not the final word on what could have happened. There was a continuity reason why MJ was back in 'Unlimited' (at least at the start).

Basically, had things kept on, Madame Web would have dropped Spidey in 19th Century England, where the real MJ had gotten to when she fell through the Goblin's portal. The Carnage symbiote, freed from the deranged Peter Parker of the ruined world, would have joined them there and found a new host - yeah, you prolly figged right, Jack The Ripper. I don't know any more, but I can see Spidey running into cast ancestors, time-traveling members of the MU, maybe having to go back and forth in time to find MJ and stop Carnage, and like that.

No one is going to pony up to have the cels drawn or even CGI'd, let alone the cost of VO's and reuniting the cast. But a 12 (or 13, to match the seasons) issue LS could take the script and tell the story under some such title as 'Spider-Man Animated : The Lost Season'. Would you have interest in it and more importantly, buy it?

Nah. In the end they'd make a deal with the devil that none of it ever happened, to save Aunt May's life.

Wait... that's a ridiculous conceit. No one would ever write something like that.

So yeah, it might be of interest.

(I was too busy watching Batman: The Animated Series at the time, though the few eps of the Spidey-toon I caught were reasonably good--well written and acted, if not well-animated.)

Spider-Man Unlimited was awful. Hell, the final year of Spidey was pretty bad. Loved the first 3-4 years though!
