Specials to Air on BBCA in US

Yippee!!! I was hoping Torchwood would be enough to get BBCA-HD. Now I just need TWC to add the channel.

Just as an FYI, I just got an email from tvshowsondvd.com confirming that Planet of the Dead will be released on dvd (14.98) and blu-ray (19.98) on July 28th, the same day Torchwood series 3 comes out. It comes with a one-hour confidential.

BBCA has updated their schedule to reflect The Next Doctor airing on June 27. It will air in a 75 minute slot, so it looks like it will be unedited. Presumably they'll be doing the same for the other specials.

So they will air on SYFY at some point? If not I'll be illegally downloading them because they are assholes.

No idea. Syfy could pick it up for a rebroadcast later. However, if it's on BBC America there's a good chance it might pop up on iTunes and BBCA On Demand soon after, so I'd recommend checking out all your legal options first.

Well, I don't get BBCA, but I'm glad the specials seem to be one step closer to airing on a channel where I can watch them. Since the 4th season ended, I've managed to convert my whole family to be nuWho fans, and we've watched all the DVDs-- waiting for new stories has seemed to take forever!
