Special cast movie

I think it would be nice if there was a special movie done where something happened and the entire crew of the Enterprise, DS9 and Voyager all ended up on a new federation super starship working together to defeat a super enemy.

That would just be cool!!!

Too many characters to accomodate in my opinion and it probably wouldn't satisfy any series' fanbase. Generations made that mistake of promising a lot but delivering very little. What did work though was the concept of an epic story which spans the centuries. They just needed a lot more than 2 hours to expand it. Think about some of the great movies which show the lineage of a single family like The Godfather, How the West Was Won, Superman The Movie and others. Massive films in which the same characters are born, grow old and die within a single narrative. That's what I've always wanted in a Star Trek story.

I'd go for the mini-series option, made up of three linked TV movies. You have the same threat to the Federation in each. It's created in the ENT segment, gains power during TOS and is defeated by 7 or 8 characters brought together from TNG/DS9/VOY. Time travel should definately be avoided. As should the reset button.

If they ever were going to do a film and/or miniseries of that nature... cut out Enterprise (as you'd need a weak character contrivance to pull them in), select some folk from DS9 (say, O'Brien) and some folk from VOY (say, the Doctor) add some fresh blood, give them a new, third location, and then some kind of problem to deal with.

Course, thing is, it isn't going to happen, which is a shame.

I like the idea of finally getting a look at Gary Seven's universe. The fact that Starfleet & the Anti-Dominion Alliance are the likeliest ones to be able to stop a threat that Gary & his secret organization can't....at least, not on their own.

The fact that Gary's abductors & trainers were so selective & their group so small or spread so thin, that it's finally resulted in a disaster so intense in magnitude that it's come around to overwhelm & bite them all in the ass.
