Wow, that was a bitchin' episode.

The rescue and burning down of the arena was just perfect.

I don't pretend to know what's right, but as Lucy indicated in one of her tweets, if we had the huge oil rig disaster in the gulf how much worse will it be when it occurs in the Artic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deepwater_Horizon_oil_spill

I suspect Forbin prefers oil not under the politcal control of OPEC, which includes countries outside of the Arab league, IIRC.

Looks like Lucy got arrested for her efforts, and has since been released.

I don't know what was so hard to understand about that. The "I love Lucy" part was pretty clear.

The world needs oil. The Middle East is unstable and we keep fighting wars over oil, and prices fluctuate wildly because of it. There are plenty of untapped oil reserves elsewhere. Lets tap them and stop having to deal with unstable theocracies and looney dictators. Yes there's ecological risk, and we need to be careful. So let's be careful. Trying to make companies STOP drilling for oil completely is dumb.

But that's not what this thread is about, and let's not derail it.

Could the guy that get released out of the well to go after Spartacus be Castus, one of his generals that we haven't seen or heard of yet?
 
Uhh... Spartacus sliced off that dude's face, then his brain fell out. That plus Seppia disrobing, and this show delivered exactly what I want and expect from it :techman:

I wish the CG was just a *little* better but that was still a great scene. It was definitely one of those screens where you go "Damn!".

One thing I love about this show is that if you wait long enough everyone gets naked.

For better or for worse. I can live without the sight of another male's schlong. Having said that, the carnal side of me did appreciate the disrobing of Seppia (the actress is attractive...).

This brings up the question, is the sex/nudity/violence on this show rather excessive to the point where it detracts from the underlying plotlines that I myself find most appealing.

I had no idea ancient germanic tribes spoke broken modern day German.
Being able to understand what they were saying (or rather trying to say) took me a bit out of the narrative.

Otherwise good episode. Conan Stevens truly is a sight to behold. It's a shame they recast Gregor Clegane over at GoT.
 
Yeah, if Latin=English, Germanic=modern German (which obviously none of the actors speak) works for me, though it was kinda funny trying to understand what they were saying.
