Sovereign Class MSD - Bmused55 Style

And she's done, more or less. I think I'll go back and tweak a few things, but for now, I'm done. 6 weeks build time... about an hour a day, sometimes less. Was so busy!

I see the company logo of Weyland-Yutani in there! Oh, and the Flux Capacitor from a certain DeLorean. Is that a shark near the aft shuttlebay?

I don't mind the funny stuff but
"purple bit" seems off. I don't think the call outs should go there.

I believe Okuda paid homage and had a little fun more with the symbols and abbreviations. GNDN is a the kind of stuff you may over look like ducks in the image and things like that.

For instance you have the NCC-1701's warp nacelle ends in the Sovereigns warp engine. But you put it upside down...
The shark was good (small enough to be missed.

Other stuff like the calypso lounge really should be flight control for the aft shuttle bay as it has none.

Also you could have added an EPS taps along the PTS conduits and their connections and junctions with each deck.

But it's a beautiful MSD.

Flight ops with no windows? :cardie:
That's be about as much use as a chocolate radiator.
Are you forgetting there are no windows in the hull at that section?

EPS Taps? There is a limit to the details one can build into this sort of MSD, in that the more you add, the more cluttered it looks.

This MSD represents the most ammount of detail I would consider putting into a single MSD.

I am planning a less cluttered, more engineering orientated, MSD where things like the structural supports we see in the screen used MSD will be illustrated, along with some of the EPS grid and other major ships systems.

But no flight control at all on the aft shuttle bay just seems to confirm that John Eaves didn't really completely think out the Sovereign design.

So like an ESD

Voyager doesn't have any external flight control.
The Galaxy class doesn't either.
It's all done with sensors in booths within the shuttlebays.

With Voyager:
There are a set of windows that may have been originally been for that purpose. So far the writers used it for an aft deflector and the MSD just shows chairs. It could be a flight control. I question putting a lounge in the end of the engineering deck right where shuttles will land ala Voyager if that's what it's for.

Galaxy has numerous windows on the aft section that could be Flight Control

I'll have to retract my objection to John Eaves design for Flight Control. It does appears he has one at the top of the saucer but I feel there should be two since he was going to design this to separate but it should be possible to track both shuttle bays from the one position.

All circumstantial and open to interpretation realy.
Guess that's the problem with stuff that doesn't actually exist eh! We just have to grin and bear it.
