Soundtrack Track Order

I've just picked up the STAR TREK soundtrack CD, and as I'm rather a stickler for these things, I was wondering if anyone could confirm the correct running order for the music as it appears in the film. I'm pretty certain it's just a case of swapping Track 2 "Nailin' The Kelvin" with Track 1 "Star Trek". Also, since I've downloaded "Sabotage" by the Beastie Boys for inclusion in the soundtrack, can somebody advise if the incidental "bar music" heard while Kirk approaches Uhura is, as I suspect, newly recorded specifically; or a piece I can actually download? Many thanks in advance.

Actually, track one ("Star Trek") plays over the studio logos at the opening of the film, before the Kelvin sequence - so it's in the right place. The actual passage that plays as a main title over the opening abbreviated opening title sequence doesn't seem to be on the CD - closest thing to it is the opening passage in the track titled "Enterprising Young Men."

I'd also like to know how to get ahold of the incidental music played in the bar. I liked that.

I agree. I thought it was just an okay piece of music before I saw the film, but after, it just reminds me of the scene and makes me a little misty-eyed.

I was amused when I realized that the music in "Nero Death Experience" when
Spock rams the Jellyfish into the Narada
is a more action-y arrangement of the music for the corresponding action from "Labor of Love."

You're right. Michael Giacchino reuses several themes throughout the movie. The title reveal theme (which is awesome BTW) is indeed included in "Enterprising Young Men" (which is right before the Enterprise is first revealed - very dramatic BTW!) as well. I don't think the soundtrack is a direct copy from the movie but a collection of all the prevalent themes.

What's the song/piece called when Robau is transported over to the Narada -- they used that in several spots...I just love that loop and I've had it in my head since I heard it....I found that particular piece to be spot on Trek music.

Oh right, thanks - so the other tracks on the CD are also sequenced correctly? And dropping "Sabotage" between "Labor Of Love" and "Hella Bar Talk" is correct?

I'm not as sure of those. I just noticed the sequence of the pieces early in the movie, as based on the CD I had expected track one to be the title track and was surprised.
