Soundtrack question

I'm listening to "Nero Death Experience" right now and about 1:07 into it you can hear singing. Does anybody know what they are singing? Is it Romulan? If so, did they consult with anybody about what the words are and their meaning?

I haven't noticed any lyrics, but I did notice on the Narada a couple occasions that Romulan seemed to be used when the crew was speaking among themselves.

Marc Okrand was credited for the movie's use of the Vulcan and Romulan languages. I don't know what language was used in the soundtrack.

I'm sure there must be something about it somewhere online....right?

But what a great soundtrack this is...I cannot make one complaint (and we all know how I like to complain LOL LOL LOL) about the soundtrack...so with that in mind...moving on. LOL

While we're on the subject, does anyone else find the track "Nice to Meld You" reminiscent of TOS music? Particularly, the sequence in "The Naked Time" when they travel in time at the end.

No it was just generic chanting.

Common sense told me that.

If I remember correctly, Cliff Eidelman used actual Klingon in his score for TUC. I was wondering if Giacchino had done something similar for this film. I couldn't determine that the chanting was, in deed, generic.

Probably because he was the language consultant on TWOK, and likely had a hand in developing the Vulcan language for that film and thus this film as well. He may not have had anything to do with this picture and the credit was just a royalty.

i was going to ask this question too. i'd swear it sounds like they are singing something like, "here we are singing this song!!!"
this is driving me crazy! (short drive).

 I was thinking the same thing when I saw the movie again on Tuesday. It sounds like they are saying something in English; I couldn't make out what.
