Sound Effects

Ok, this is a plea for help. I'm desperately searching for a clean 44/48khz 'drop out of warp' wav sound file, voyager era. Has to be copyright free or the owner must be able to approve use, or the University will flat paddle me over a bench!

Any ideas? Websites? Sound tutorials? Even somewhere that explains how the sounds were made in the first place?

The only legitimate owner of the sound effect is Paramount, and you aren't going to get their permission on this message board. If you must use that sound effect, then you would need to contact Paramount directly. You would do better to find a similar sound or create one yourself.

I've already had permission off Paramount to use 'Star Trek' in my work, and I'd go back and bother them again if I didn't have such a tight deadline. I'm not so stupid to think that someone on this board is going to give me the rights to a Paramount owned sound, I'm asking for permission of their own sound, what I was asking was if someone knows of anyone, or has one themselves that's their own creation then I'd like to get in contact with them. Since it's implied that my request was confusing, I'll thank you for helping me clear it up for everyone else, even if it did come across condescending.

Hey Johnny, whats up. Sometimes when recreating Star Trek sounds I view several different sources of the sound as its featured in the shows and movies. From there I choose one version I like best or approximate them together in some way. Then I search online at different audio sample sites and search for sounds that may be similar. After choosing many possible sounds, I amalgamate them together to get a new sound combination that may be somewhat like the original. There are other approaches you can take but I find this to be an effective approach. Hope that is useful.
