Of course it looks good from those angles, because it's mostly hiding the horrid secondary hull.
But provides plenty of non-synthetic suds for a weary crew! But that beer brewery/water waste treatment plant engine room?
UGLIEST, LAMEST Federation starship room in the entire history of Star Trek. Hands down. That thing...blows.

Yeah, it's something I have to grit my teeth & bear.![]()
AH-Probably floating about in those pipes gave him a taste for it...
Gotta love SpockBoy's work.
And the secondary hull and pylons are fine, as far as I'm concerned.(Or should that be 'phine'?)
It's not just you, but I kinda like it- and I never thought I would, but it's grown on me like moss.Is it just me, or does it look hella weird when viewed from above?
The nacelles are all tucked inwards. The ship looks like its squeezing through a dense convention crowd instead of soaring through space.
IYO, clearly.I just think that the refit looks good at practically any angle that you view it, which in my opinion, can't be said for the Nu-E.
Nice analysis.I think that this ship looks "weird" to about the extent that one is familiar with previous versions of it - there's not much actually wrong with the design, it's just that the angles and proportions are different from previous versions.
The fact that the nacelles are closer together is an example of that - there's nothing even a little weird or badly designed about that. It's just different from people's expectations.
Thank you. THANK YOU!!!Personally I dislike the engines on the ST:TMP refit. They're the worst of any Enterprise.

I disagree, but I'm also one of those weirdos who prefers the Nu-E to both incarnations of the original NCC-1701.I just think that the refit looks good at practically any angle that you view it, which in my opinion, can't be said for the Nu-E.
Whoah, we reach!I disagree, but I'm also one of those weirdos who prefers the Nu-E to both incarnations of the original NCC-1701.![]()

Weirdo? It is an honourable title then. So, you're saying that Chrisisall is a weirdo too?![]()
You could if you dropped your preconceived notions of what she should look like in another reality. It's good that you like it because the Nu-E is what we're stuck with. I just wish that I would feel the same.![]()
