If they ever did an American version of the British show "Coupling", I think the chick that plays Sophie could pull off playing Jane.

;)

haven't actually seen the latest episode yet, will be watching it later on...

Coupling US

You think it's bad when they do the UK scripts, until they slip in some scripts they wrote themselves sandwiched in between what we recognize.

And here's the really odd thing, a later show produced by Chis Moynihan who played Jeff in US Coupling, "100 Questions" used the same sets as US Coupling and the characters were so similar that I had to suspect that these were old unused but retaliored US Coupling scripts he was passing off as a series of his own creation.

The Bar was identical to the UK bar, it just weirded me out when I twigged it on 100 Questions.

I liked what Troi was wearing in the episode Menage a Troi.

I was hoping that you'd understand that the humor in my post was driven by the fact that Sophie from Leverage actually played the original Jane in the British version of Coupling.

Yeah, it was funny.

Nice one.

(Seriously. No sarcasm.)

But you are now saying that you knew there was a US version of Coupling, and decided to pretend it didn't exist to enhance your joke, or that it's irrelevant that exists, or that you didn't know that it exists but it doesn't matter or that you briefly and temporarily forgot it existed?

We all need more coupling in our lives.

There is a universal shortage of coupling that no one is doing anything about.

Save a whale, cool!

Buy a hybriid, marvellous!

Use recycled paper, you're a champion!

But where is the pledge and effort towards the revivification and conservation of the Coupling Phenomenon which is extinct for all intents and purposes, that we need hippies waving banners and telethons hosted by day time soap stars, because unless some bugger does a Jurassic Park like last minute save, we will certainly still be living in a world without new Coupling.

The Horror?

Yes I knew Sophie was Jane, but did you know that Sherrif Jack Carter from Eureka used to be Patrick?

I did indeed know that there was a (very short lived) US version of Coupling, and I did ignore it to enhance my joke. I also could have gone with "it was irrelevant", mainly because the US version was so short lived that it might as well not have ever existed. Plus it really sucked. Whereas as Coupling (UK) was brilliant.

I don't watch or know anything about Eureka. :( So thanks for sharing on that one!

Of course, the bloke Norrington what was in Pirates of the Caribbean was Steven from Coupling (UK) as well!

"That's wrong on so many levels . . . ."

Seriously, I can see Sophie as Troi. Parker as Starbuck is more of a stretch.

But how can they tease us with these notions and not deliver the visual! :)

Sophie as Troi works way better than Parker as Starbuck. Sophie looks way more like Troi than Parker does Starbuck. Anyways I'd rather see Parker as Seven of Nine.

But they have Jeri Ryan on cast... So what you suggest is about half the joke they could pull off if Jeri wasn't able to mock the shit out of Parkers Costume.

However, half a joke now is better than a full joke after cancellation.
