Did they changethe release date? Because this will be the same date as the Lord of the Rings anime... I wans't planning on seeing Kraven anyway, but will more people be interested in Lord of the RIngs?

Sonic 3 and Mufasa will be out the next week, and between that and Wicked and Moana 2, Kraven will be the next major flop.

Now, how often do they need to release a Spiderman movie to keep the license? Just seems like they are just losing money at this point. It's worse than real estate speculators

Why wouldn't they use it? Basil Poledouris rocks.

Also, those eight minutes were actually quite watchable, entertaining even. Still not gonna see it in theaters (not with LotR out the same weekend), but I'll likely give it a go later on.

Trailers often use stock music from older movies as placeholders, if the new movie's own original score hasn't been completed yet.
Just to clarify, it's not in a trailer, but those Opening Eight Minutes, and with the movie opening in two weeks, the score should be finished by now.

A trailer, by definition, is an excerpt or series of excerpts released to promote an upcoming production. Just because a trailer is not in the most common format does not mean it isn't a trailer. Indeed, there have been some trailers that weren't excerpts at all, but new material created specifically for the trailer, e.g. with several Pixar movies or the initial teaser trailer to Raimi's first Spider-Man.

And maybe it was assembled before the score was finished. It's not like they release these things the instant they're done. Usually, they're probably readied in advance for later release on a planned schedule. Or, they may have used the stock music as a placeholder, then decided they liked it that way and kept it. That's been known to happen on multiple films, so it could certainly happen with a trailer/preview.

It's also not remotely unusual for a score cue from an existing movie to be used in a newer one. Sometimes because the filmmakers couldn't let go of the temp score, sometimes because it was chosen specifically.

But this is not a trailer at all, it's literally the first 8 minutes of the movie, it says it right there in the description. So it's safe to assume that they are releasing these first 8 minutes because they're done and ready to be shown to the public.

Again: Just because it isn't a typical trailer doesn't mean it isn't a trailer. But obsessing over the definition of the word is missing the point. The point is that any advance promotion, whether you want to call it a trailer or not, can be scored with stock music for a variety of reasons. What matters is the process, not the labeling.

but my sinister six movie! They’ve been promising that for 20 years!

I’m just sad that Michael Keaton had to waste his time in two franchises all for nothing. At least he was paid well.

-No big Sony team up with morbius
- Batgirl shelved
