Sony is erasing digital libraries that were supposed to be accessible “forever”

Moonlighting was such an easy show to relax to. The same with Thirtysomething and Beauty And The Beast. I’ve never got around to watching Northern Exposure so that’s on my box set list to buy before the prices start going up due to rarity.

If you have Amazon Prime you can watch Northern Exposure on it right now.

The Funimation one, as I've read, is that they Bought DVD's and Blue Ray Discs, and the thing that went away is the Digital Copy that was sold with it, So, they technically have the DVD Discs, so they technically haven't "Lost" it. Now if they misplaced there discs, then thats not Sony's fault.
Now in the "Fine Print" it says the digital copies could disappear at any time.

This is different from the Sony (HA!) and the Discovery content. They skirted that one because they got the license again and it wasn't deleted.

Honestly, how they solve the Digital Copy that they "Bought" and the library has to go away, then they Email a Link to the digital file, and have it available to download to there PC for a limited time.

All that they have to do if they still want a digital copy from their physical discs is to rip the video from the disc itself (using a program like Freemake Video Converter) and then put the video file into the device of choice (you can also use this program from Freemake as well.)
