Sony delays LittleBigPlanet

Sony is getting close, if not already, to the expectations from that of Microsoft (well, when it comes to Windows anyway).

I was playing Little Big Planet today at Gaming Invasion here in Toronto. I love the world, and I love the non-violent nature of the game. Very pretty. Several of my friends are now considering getting PS3s because of it.

Personally, I'm still waiting for Home.

So... videogames can't have background music with subtle, unidentifiable references to the Quran?

Am I getting this right?

Apparently mixing words of the Quran with music is offensive.

Yet I read that the song in question has been on general release for SIX YEARS.

Ridiculous.

Microsoft pulled the Xbox game, Kakuto Chojin from the market back in 2002 for exactly the same reason -- it had background sounds taken for the Qu'ran.

Of course, the game wasn't any good, and Microsoft never released a "clean" version of the game.

Well I understand Sony, they're a multi-billion company, if they would get boycotted in muslim countries it would be really bad for them. Money talks and all that.

And who said whining on message boards never accomplishes anything?

I reckon it accomplishes about as much as whining about people whining on message boards.

But not as much as whining about people whining about people whining on message boards? I was referring to the original forum post which appears to have started the ball rolling here,

That's what I forgot to do today. I forgot to switch on my telepathic abilities.

It was in your link.

Yup, it was. Here's another link, where the poster does not specify which alleged whining (mine, or the original post on the SCE forums) he finds amusing enough to warrant a

Back on topic: should Christians now be upset that Sony didn't edit the Manchester Cathedral out of Resistance 1? Either way, there are good odds that Sony's tentpole Christmas '09 release will offend the last of the big three religions: Judaism ;)
