Sons of Anarchy S2

Temis the Vorta

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
So, if anyone's watching, whaddya think?

Fun show, with some well-crafted scenarios (getting Gemma maneuvered to take the fall for Stahl's stupid murder for instance) but it's feeling a bit repetitive and I'm getting a bit weary of the way everyone on this show is deplorable and you could only call them moral within their own tribal contexts, which makes it hard to place the loyalty shown within the biker gang above, say, the loyalty shown within the Mayans or aryan gangs. Even scummy Weston was a loving father, after all.

Even Tara has now fallen into the tribal mode, slugging her obnoxious co-worker for being a bureaucratic bitch and interfering with her important work providing medical assistance to bikers without insurance. The lone hold-out is also my favorite character - poor, embattled Hale. But even his committment to uphold the law apparently didn't extend to white-supremacist rapists.

And of course you knew poor Half-Sack had to buy it when Clay decided to "patch him in."

I'm not sure I'm up for 5 or 6 seasons of this stuff, but 3 or 4 would be just fine. I think next season they need to pull the trigger on some of the Big Secrets: Tara's ex buried in a shallow grave and Opie finds out the truth about Donna.

You must have missed an episode this season, Temis, because Opie already found out the truth about Donna in the third-to-last episode. But I know what you mean. I can see them having the show run for two or three more seasons but seven? I don't know. They'll have to pull off a lot of clever twists along the way to make that happen like the way the Shield did.

Damn, I did miss an episode! (The one where Gemma revealed to Jax and Clay that she had been raped.) What was Opie's reaction? Did he actually forgive Clay and Tig? Considering that both are still breathing. Bah! Maybe it was good that I missed that episode. :rommie:

^ You must have missed more than one episode, they've been dealing with the fallout for the last 3 episodes of the season. You didn't see Opie's dad try and kill Clay?

The last episode of S2 I thought was outstanding, I was on the edge of my seat for the whole thing.

Well, after a guilt-ridden Tig told him about his and Clay's involvement in Donna's murder and that they wouldn't have tried to kill him if it wasn't for Stahl, Opie beated the crap out of Tig. Then he came after Stahl and pointed a gun at her. He doesn't pull the trigger and instead tells her to keep in mind that a biker outlaw like him had a moment of mercy for her. When he came to the club, he told Clay that he won't be exacting revenge against him because doing that would jeopardize his attempt to find some inner peace within himself after the hole Donna's death left inside him. That and his secret alliance with Jax to change the direction of the club which has become so twisted under Clay's rule are what kept Opie from killing Clay and Tig where they stood. Not so long after that, Opie's father came in with a loaded gun firing a few rounds above Clay's head. Opie's father wanted to prevent Clay from killing Opie after Opie found out the truth about Donna's death. Opie made Clay forgive his father for what he tried to do and Clay agrees, feeling that he owed to Opie after Donna.

That's more or less what happened.

Figures the episode I miss is where everything happens. :rommie:

So why did Gemma tell the truth about being raped? Wasn't she still worried that Clay et al would go apeshit and get thwacked by the aryans?

She told Jax and Clay the truth about being raped in hopes of them being united towards a single cause would help mend the rift between them which was spiraling out of control before she did what she did. And her confession did just that by the way Jax and Clay were reconnecting in the final three episodes.
