I really don't want to get a Blu-Ray player, but I know eventually it'll be necessary, since at some point they'll stop releasing movies on standard DVD.
The other day, I saw a known brand name (Sony, I think) on a Blu-Ray player that was actually being sold for $170 U.S..
Now, that seems "a bit" lower than any price I've heard on a B-R player, so is something wrong with this?
Going back and replacing all my discs with high def versions is just SO not going to happen, but with this being a new start of sorts for the franchise, maybe this is the time to change horses.
Should I be wary of a price so low, even on a known name player? It wasn't in a baclroom somewhere or on a street corner. It was in a legit store.
Could B-R players already be down to under $200? Not quite as low as the $35 you might have to pay for a regular DVD player, but still a surprise to me.
