something so classic about the original "Ghostbusters"....

That's because of JMS. He's not afraid of telling stories.

I really hope he gets involved in some way with this expansion of the franchise (whatever one's opinions may be on that expansion, but I won't hold my breath on that happening). He wrote some of the finest episodes ever, and it was a shame that the studio heads essentially meddled to the point of driving him out. Plus, since the cartoon and after Babylon 5, his stock as a Hollywood writer went up.

He was more focused on Egon than I would've liked, but hey, everybody has their favorites. And it's a fair tradeoff for some really great and memorable episodes.
