If we figure they could cram 20 people into each shuttle, they'd need 40 shuttles to get all 800 crew off assuming there were no lifeboats or that lifeboats weren't used. Kirk's mom's shuttle was #37, so that's pretty consistent with the 40 estimate. However, Robau took a shuttle, and there were only a handful of people on the shuttle Kirk's mom took, so a couple of them might've had to REALLY pack it it in. Also, Robau's appears to be marked #43. Go figure.
