Yeah, it is looking more and more like Juliet.

Ditto. He's far too important to the main story. Plus, I kinda like the guy.
But what if his part of the main story is to die (and stay dead)?

As long as it's a cool story they can kill Locke as often as they like. They can even make him stay dead. I'm not so attached to his character that I'd want to dilute the story over it. Same goes for anyone in the cast, really.

I guess it's been too long to edit my previous post, but the evidence is mounting for Juliet...
Big new star of the fall season as the "lead/guest star" of V, hmm? The guest star thing is definitely a smokesceen. Nobody would be touting her as a big star if she were merely a guest actor, and nobody would be nuts enough to make a guest actor the lead of a new show. Everyone else in that list is playing a major character in a show.
What if the ratings are strong and part of the reason is because people like her as the lead? And you don't find out till you axe the character and the ratings drop - too late to rescind it then. It's tough enough for new shows to survive without sabotaging yourself right out of the gate that way.
Good for her, hope V does well, I'll be watching and will miss Juliet but hey there's only one season left of Lost anyway. All the actors are probably thinking about their next moves.

Hey, maybe Juliet just takes her pregnant-ass self and frakking well goes HOME. Sawyer's a hotty but that's no reason to hang around some guy who is obsessed with some other chick (whose obviously no good for him or even that other jerk who is obsessed with her too).
That would get Elizabeth Mitchell off the show and off to V without any need for an unhappy ending for Juliet or any theoretical spawn she might be spawning.
Someone else should frakken well die. How about Miles? I could lose Miles.
