Possible Spoilers...

* What is Kirk's age when joining Starfleet in this timeline? If it is somewhere close to 30 then it can easily explain the other cast members advancing as far in their respective careers as they have. But then this Jim Kirk is a completely different character than the one from the Star Trek TV series. What happens to the incidents hinted at during Star Trek.
* Did the attack on the Kelvin ignite a new war with the Romulans in Christopher Pike's time? This drastically changes Pike's character as well.
* Is this Enterprise actually NCC-1701… or was that destroyed by the Romulans? Possibly with April aboard? And is this her successor?
* Did Spock-1 (Leonard Nimoy) miss the mark when going back in time? Possibly arriving 25-30 years later than he should, forcing him to seek out the Jim Kirk of this new timeline. Why didn't he seek out Pike?
* After destroying the Kelvin, does Nero set himself up as some type of Romulan warlord? Feeding tech to the Romulans of the 'TOS' era to take down the Federation?

I'm honestly grasping here for something to like about this film now. Last couple of weeks have been a real downer (photos, plot leaks and the new Enterprise). I was just sitting at work wondering... feel free to pile on.

Short answer to all your questions: we don't know, yet. I guess we'll have to wait for the actual film to find out.

* What is Kirk's age when joining Starfleet in this timeline?

He's thirteen. He enters Starfleet right after trashing his uncle's car - it's at this point that we learn Starfleet is actually a kind of "Scared Straight" program for Earth kids that also gets them off planet and out of the authorities' hair for five years or so.

* Did the attack on the Kelvin ignite a new war with the Romulans in Christopher Pike's time? This drastically changes Pike's character as well.

It actually resulted in improved safety standards aboard all Starfleet vessels. Consoles no longer blow up, and everyone wears seatbelts. As a result, there has not been a life lost in space travel for decades prior to TOS. Many episodes which involved the Enterprise searching for the remains of a Starfleet vessel are therefore retconned out of existence.

* Is this Enterprise actually NCC-1701… or was that destroyed by the Romulans? Possibly with April aboard? And is this her successor?

This is actually the NCC-1701.3.6.2 - the first "Enterprise" to actually successfully enter service in a century. Earlier test versions of the ship were each destroyed in warp test accidents. Fortunately, Starfleet crews such test-bed vehicles entirely with animated crash test dummies referred to as "Robert Aprils" after their inventor.

The entire crews of over a dozen Enterprises were all Robert April.

* Did Spock-1 (Leonard Nimoy) miss the mark when going back in time? Possibly arriving 25-30 years later than he should, forcing him to seek out the Jim Kirk of this new timeline.

Spock-Prime is so very old and tired - he misses his temporal exit and is stuck on the Federation Beltway for thirty years.

He also leaves his time machine's right turn signal on for six months.

Why didn't he seek out Pike?

He owes Pike ten dollars.

* After destroying the Kelvin, does Nero set himself up as some type of Romulan warlord? Feeding tech to the Romulans of the 'TOS' era to take down the Federation?

He settles in Burbank and replaces Jimmy Fallon as the host of the Late Show on NBC.

I'm honestly grasping here for something to like about this film now.

Saldana takes off her blouse.

Classic, Dennis.
