"...some of the worst cinematography ever"?

Cinematography has been moving in that direction for years. Look at Bourne, Batman, and Transformers. They all use intense camera movement.

Since Abrams was the director, and he has to approve the cinematography, yeah, he's an idiot.

95% of the reviews tend to disagree with you.

I believe Captain Robert April was speaking of Cloverfield in that instance. I'm not sure if he's seen the new Trek movie yet.JJ Abrams didn't direct Cloverfield though.

No, I'm talking about this misbegotten attempt at a Star Trek movie, which I saw last night on the studio's dime. Abrams is the most overrated director right now.

This misbegotten Star Trek movie is going to save this franchise's ass.

You may not like it, but to those who matter to the studio, the studio's target audience, seem to like it so far.

The Age is a agreat newspaper imo, but they've always had idiots doing their movie reviews - and this Schembri guy is quickly taking that honor to new and dizzying heights of absurdity.

This is the same drooling imbecile who was fawning over Wolverine like it was some under-appreciated, modern-day Citizen Kane just the other day. He is giving fresh and new meaning to the term gimp.

Star Trek kicks all kinds of ass. Don't let this fool cloud your vision.
