"Soldiers of the Empire" is another great Klingon-based DS9 episode. I still like "Once More Unto the Breach" better but I still think it is a great episode. Any comments, suggestions or concerns?

It is slightly irritating to see OPs that consist of nothing more than: "Great episode. Any thoughts?"
If you loved it, say WHY you loved it. Or tell us why it sucks. Or evaluate a certain aspect of the episode in some detail. Give us something SUBSTANTIAL that we can respond to.

I didn't think it was that great. It was one of the season's more middling fares and it pretty much was a compilation of all the Klingon Rituals/Schtick we had been inundated with for years. I liked TNG's " A Matter of Honor" much more especially because it actually offered some fresh insight into the Klingons.
Plus I never much cared for Worf and Jadzia and there was too much of that here. I did however appreciate that the episode did give us the Klingon perspective on the recent Dominion incursion and it is always nice to see Martok. Overall, though a very, very average episode.

I agree 100%! You need to have a conversation starter before you have a conversation!

Amen. Josh Lyman, your West Wing namesake would be all over us with his cool and knowledgeable opinions. Then again, despite how smart Josh was, he also heard "How old are you?" once in awhile...! Anyway, don't roll your eyes at us, just for wanting to hear you talk about your opinions. Consider it an honor. We're interested in what you have to say.
I love the threads devoted to single episodes. It gives us a chance to talk about more important things than which actress is "hot" or lists of which episodes "suck". Do more of them JL, but actually say stuff, damn you!

Its the one where Martok is kinda a puss until Worf stages a fight. That fight gives Martok his balls back. Martok and Co are able to rescue a Klingon ship in distress at that point. I liked the fight. I enjoyed the Singing as they went into battle. I wish Worf could've come up with some stuff on his own, that way there wouldn't have been a need for Jadzia.
