So why are they called turbolifts, anyway?

SearchTrek is back? That's awesome, it's been sorely missed!

It looks entirely different than it did before, so I'm not sure if it's from the same people who made the original or someone else stepping into the void. But yes, it's nice to have that resource again, and the new one has some advantages over the old.

Well, if I were designing things, each elevator car gets a turbine in addition to independent grav playing for use outside the ship.

Each room should have a power cell...each conveyance.

The elevator car is an air handler, and can be a type of lifeboat...ergo...turbo-lift

I have heard one vacuum device that even sounded a bit like the TOS car.

although it doesn't include transcripts for any of the other Secret Hideout shows.
The transcript site it searches does have transcripts for the first season of SNW, but SearchTrek doesn't include it. Maybe because it isn't complete.

IIRC the transcript site's creator doesn't use streaming services, so they only do transcripts when they air on TV.

Technically, that’d be a perfectly reasonable title, say for a movie that’s entirely a drama about an emplacement gunner.
as I have no idea what that is, and I'm too ashamed to ask and find out, I will take your word of it.

I mean, just some guy manning and firing the big gun, at a gun emplacement. We see some in the Death Star — manning and firing “turbolasers” — during the Battle of Yavin.

Look, it's very simple. The underlying AI of Starfleet ship computers was based on a 20th Century design known as the Knight Industries Two Thousand...

That can't be true. The computer sounds nothing like Mr Feeny.
