Considering that Roddenberry often said that he'd be delighted if someone new came along, completely did things new and his own way, and was successful, I think it's unlikely that we'll be calling this movie Gene's Nightmare.

Gene also predicted that once he was gone, the studio would run the thing into the ground and kill it.
It's the difference between what he hoped would happen and what he was sure would happen.
And Im sure because you don't like it, obviously he would not either...of course the people who were close to him, and in the know about the new film say he would have loved it. Go figure.

You mean like they did in 2005?
I have yet to hear a negative opinion of the film from people who have actually seen it, and Leonard Nimoy in particular seems to love it. So I can't really bring myself to feel too worried that Gene would dislike it.
