So what should happen in Trek XII?

Carol Marcus should be introduced as Kirk's lover...Maybe a story where Ambassador Spock (Dammit JJ, he's a Vulcan, not a Transformer!) meets her and gives her the idea for the Genesis Device, they perfect the idea, restore Vulcan, and reanimate Amanda. Voila! Star Trek Universe unfolds as it should.

I know it's simple, but that's all I got at the moment.

Honestly, I think they've done the whole thing where they pull from the original material. Now that they're in a brand new timeline and all, take advantage of the fact that the whole continuity is basically gone. bring in new characters, go in a new direction. I think the only way the JJ Universe will continue will be to stand on its own. Don't even include PrimeSpock.

There should be a crisis, and Starfleet will call upon the Enterprise and crew because they're the only ship in the quadrant.

There will be some conflict, then the Enterprise and crew will be victorious.

Oh, and there will be kewl music, explosions, lens flares and canon violation.

The whole thing will earn a gazillion dollars for Paramount, and then three years later the whole formula will repeat itself.

AND WE WILL ALL PAY TO SEE IT.

I take it, you were not happy with JJTREK?

As long as it's entertaining, that works for me. :techman:

If they can't come up with something original, a good Gary Mitchell story would be neat. :techman:

It'll give McCoy a chance to break out his signature "He's dead, Jim" line.

How about this instead: Kirk gets it on with Gaila, never meets Carol Marcus and thus never has a geeky son, thus never wants revenge against Klingons for killing him, preventing the political tensions of TUC and changing the overall climate of the Alpha Quadrant permitting an Early Vulcan/Romulan reunification and avoiding the destruction of the Romulus star and, therefor, completely annulling this movie completely. Anyone? No?

It's a new timeline, a new universe with new horizons and opportunities and I'm looking forward for that. If you have to have everything as it was, there's re-runs on the space channel everyday.

Since I'm sure there are countless threads for new movie ideas in the Future of Trek forum, I'm going to close this one down. Feel free to start it again there (or, if there's a more appropriate thread, just post in it).
