So what are you reading now? Part 2

Why? why do we need a part two when part one was fine. There have been threads that have gone over the one thousand mark, so why illogically close and then open a new thread!

Plus the cliff hanger was pretty shite in part one.

:cardie: Yeah, pretty unnecessary thread closing, especially if the 1000 post rule isn't even used constantly in this forum. *points at the cast the characters thread*

Or the speculation thread over what was going to happen in Destiny thread!

Also, I was under the impression after asking that the 1000 posts is un-necessary and is up to the Mods discretion.

So yeah, anyway, can this thread be closed and the old one be reactivated?

I won't read any more TrekBBS posts until they reverse this slap in the face to "What are you reading now?" fans!

BRING BACK THREAD #1!!!!

I just finished my first Enterprise novel, The Good that Men Do. I really enjoyed it. It made that dismal final episode all the more better in my mind. I liked it enough, that I think i'll pick up Kobayashi Maru and The Romulan War (once it's released). Mangels & Martin are one of my favorite author duo's :).
I've just started Christopher's The Buried Age, and after 2 chapters I'm loving it :techman:. I've had this book in my queue for awhile, and so far i'm really enjoying it...

Ijust recently finished reading The Good That Men Do and Kobayashi Maru and I really enjoyed reading them again. I can't wait to get the Romulan war book in October. I also just finished reading Troublesome minds another great read. I just started How Much For just the planet by John M. Ford it's a great read.Very funny:lol::rommie:

After having finished Le Guin's The Left Hand of Darkness, she never disappoints by the way, I'm finally gonna start with Star Trek: New Frontier before I go to sleep tonight.

I have Over the Torrent Sea and Full Circle. Trying to figure out which to read first. I know Full Circle comes before in the timeline, but I want to read the more captivating one first.

Need to get into the ENT relaunch too. Happy Trek times!

I am currently reading Guards, Guards and the Fifth elephant along with Monstrous Regiment all Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.
I have also finished re-reading the Destiny trilogy and ASD. (I've also read Full circle and the Cardassia, Trill and Bajor novellas from the Worlds of DS9)

I just finished SCE: Ambush while on my break at work today, and I really liked it. I thought it was kinda fun to see engineers in a combat situation, which isn't something we see very often. Other than when their in engineering, telling the Captain how bad of shape the ship is in that is. It was also nice to get to see mroe of the actual crew of the da Vinci, which as far as I remember we haven't seen much of yet. It was well written, and the characters were very well handled. With each story I'm liking these characters more and more. For a final rating I'd have to go with 8/10.
I also started Some Assembly Recquired, which I am already liking even more.

Reading the thid Mirror anthology, Shards and Shadows.

I don't hate it as much as the first two, at least, but I'm nearly at the end and can barely remember most of the stories.

I did like one line in PAD's story though, about the person who suffered a tragic accident - throwing himself off a cliff after stabbing himself repeatedly.

I finished Michael Chabon's Gentlemen of The Road last night. Really, lots of fun even with the rather dense prose style. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and look forward not only to The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay when I get it but also to a couple of his other books.

I'll leave everyone to guess what book I'm starting now...

Just finished Megan Abbott's quite good Hollywood circa 1951 noir novel The Song Is You, and may read her novel Queenpin next. Her fourth novel is about to be published, and I can only wonder why it took so long for me to discover her.

Spock Must Die! I appreciate that it tried to work in some philosophical stuff but it's really quite disappointing.

So, as expected, I hardly got any reading done during my Paris weekend...my girlfriend said yes and we are now engaged :D

I am slowly introducing her to Trek, so we'll see if she joins up eventually.

Still working my way through Criminal Minds: Finishing School, Dominion War: Book Three: Tunnel Through The Stars and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

I just finished Ex Machina (I liked it a lot, though it stretched even my love of continuity porn a mite, not to mention committing the sin of making me curious about watching Enterprise  ), and am now onto Uhura's Song (which so far seems to be "Dr. Mary Sue meets the Kitty People.")
