So this new show is Voyager?

Yes this is the impression that I got after reading the show premise. It sounds kind of lame to be honest but I will check out the pilot when it airs.

soon they will find a chesty replicator whom they will save and she will end up joining the crew and become useful as she is the closest thing they have to an ancient and she knows how to work the ship. >_>

They're not really lost just trapped on a ship that they can't control where it goes. Not much of a difference there though.

^ Except for the fact that they can't get back to Earth...or even a Stargate for that matter. They're just exploring a new region of space. Atlantis isn't really like Voyager...Atlantis had a connection to Earth and made both frequent communication and transportation through the Stargate. I don't know I'll check out the pilot and maybe a few season one episodes but the premise doesn't really thrill me that much. I still remember the early rumors that Daniel Jackson would be the main character of the show.

More like Space:1999 if you ask me, trapped on a object moving on a seemingly random course with no way to control it and if you arent on it when it leaves, you are stuck. The only difference is its a ship not the freakin' moon.

Repli-Carter?

I'll give it a fair try, but it does sound a little bit out there. The characters sound very generic.

SGU shares a similar base premise as Voyager, but that does not make it Voyager anymore than Voyager is Lost In Space. The execution is what makes it different. If you don't think that, then you must think that Firefly is Star Trek and DS9 is Babylon 5.

Not in it's first season. They were completely cut off from Earth, a fact referenced frequently in both shows at the time. Season two is when they made contact with Earth.

I remember people saying that Atlantis was like DS9 combined with Voyager when the premise was first revealed.

Sounds like a hybrid of Voyager and Battlestar Galactica. I'll watch at least the first 5 or 6 oepisodes. If I'm entertained, I'll keep coming back.
