so its clear stargate is aware stargate exists. now the bigest porblem with that is well stargate has 2 actors who have really big roles in the star trek universe. i mean jhon delace was a general in stargate but he is also q i mean how can no one notice that this general is also q if they make refences to star trek. also wozzie is well the dr is voyager again they cant really pretend it does not exist in star trek so how come no one has noticed hey richard wozzie looks like the dr from voyager.

and another show that was bad to make a refence too was the simpsons which made a refence to stargate being a tv show. now how on earth can anyone avoid that one espsaly jack who is a simpson fan. how can he miss an episode where the actor who plays his is being interviewed.

Yes Star trek exists in SG.

But wherever there is an character on SG that is played by an actor from trek, the actor in the SG universes Trek was played by someone else.

So, for a character in Star gate, Q wasn't played by John DeLancie.

I figure it the other way around. Q was still played by John De Lancie, but the SG character is not John De Lancie. He just happens to sort of look like him.

eh... that still does not explain the simpsons.

Repeat to yourself "It's just a show, I should really just relax."

Seriously though, don't think about it too hard. Just enjoy the show. ;)

These threads make me laugh. I remember someone freaking out because Dr Who had been referenced in Eastenders, and Eastenders had been referenced in Dr Who, which was apparently just plain wrong...

I'm just amazed anyone can bring themselves to even care a little bit about something so very minor. Like Chris3123 said, just repeat to yourself "it's just a show, I should really just relax."

Man, I miss MST3k

A far better question is: Does Stargate exist in the Star Trek universe and does this mean that Robert Picardo is an ancestor of Lewis Zimmerman? :p

So Stargate's set in a dystopian world, then. ;)

The two fictional entities actually interacted in a much-derided Doctor Who special in 1993.

It's just a show... slow breaths, now.
Sensible advice. I suppose that we all have different levels of tolerance (and even different kinds of tolerance) when it comes to suspension of disbelief etc. Sometimes we neglect to remember that there's really no such thing as a fictional universe; just fiction.

Not only does Star Trek exist in the Stargate universe, but even the Tok'ra are fans.

That's a referance to the Tok'ra posing as a Goa'uld in SG-1's The Other Guys having a bat'leth hanging in his throne room.
