Jean Stapleton, Edith Bunker on 'All in the Family,' dies: Stapleton died Friday of natural causes at her New York City home surrounded by friends and family, her son, John Putch, said Saturday.
Ninety years is a good run. I have to admit I'd assumed she'd passed on years ago.
Good actress. Edith was one of the best characters in TV history.
