So is Revolution Dead?

Sci Fi aka SyFy just had their upfronts and no talk of Revolution. Is it safe to assume at this point that the show is not going to be picked up? Do they even intend on showing the pilot as a movie? That is the point of creating miniseries/backdoor pilots, right?

Oh well, the one new show I was really looking forward to and it's never getting made. Clearly my taste in TV is just too different from the average viewer.

It's like Sci Fi doesn't give a damn anymore. I guess we will have a reality show in it's place?

Looks like the Revolution will NOT be televised after all. ;)
...beat me to it!

Did you see a news story on this you can link to?

Thanks! :bolian: As for...

SG:U being "dark" - haw, they said that about SG:A too.

Caprica - great cast, interesting premise; I won't mind the lack of kick-ass space battles (too much).

Warehouse 13 - I'll give it a shot but sounds like it will quickly become formulaic.

...is that all? I guess they have to make room for movies about giant spiders eating idiots at ski resorts, etc.

Frak really!? What happened!? (Last I heard, Peter Fonda was even attached to the project!)

Revolution was the show I was looking forward to most!

It sounded like the only show in development other than Caprica that seemed like it had to potential to deal with the kind of serious political and social themes that BSG did - and could have potentially had the kind of...cache...that BSG had.

Though, it was obvious with both Revolution & Caprica that SciFi...er..."Beyond"...er..."SyFy" was aiming for shows that would have a sci-fi setting but could be made with the least amount of sci-fi trappings - like space ships & big budget special effects (less space opera and more soap opera...)

Looks as though Revolution is dead, sadly.

Personally, I think Warehouse 13 sounds shit. I doubt I'll be watching that.

If it weren't for Caprica I wouldn't be watching anything on Sci-Fi.
