So I got the 11th Doctor regeneration figure....

So I bought the eleventh doctor regeneration figure from amazon and got it today, only there's a slight problem. The card says the eleventh doctor with a pic of Matt Smith...but its the 10th doctor figure. What should I do with this variant/screwup. Do I return it to the sender? Keep it? Sell it for more money?

well first of all and this should not need saying, dont take it out the packaging.

If this is a mistake, then keeping it in its packaging is the only way its going to be of value.

I would keep it for awhile and see what it's value is in a few months or years time.

As wamdue said, whatever you do, DO NOT OPEN IT!

If its a factory screw up, yeah keep it cos they wouldve already sorted the problem with the packing machines.

Besides, as its a screw up that fell through the net, itll be worth a few to collectors who want a unique part of action figure/Doctor Who merchandise.

Keep it MIB. I friend of mine has a Guinan figure that says on the box that it's a Beverly Crusher figure. These things happen, but when they do, they can be worth filfthy lucre.

I work across the way from a comics shop. They have the 10th Doctor figure and the 11 Doctor figure in the window. They seem pretty identical except for the head!

As a collector I'm adding my voice to the call to keep it and don't open it. And put it somewhere where the packaging won't get damaged/dusty, etc.

Next, though, do some research to make sure you don't have a legitimate issue. Surely there are images of the product you think you ordered that can be found online, so you can compare.
